The plot itself is more built around the growing up girl, which had to comprehend the exterior.
In general, “ruled by ghosts” does not carry special revelations, but this would probably be strange to expect from a good family anime. This is just another warm story about the struggle of good and evil, the winner of which, of course, comes out the first.
